It consists of a night tour along a path located within the Firefly Sanctuary. On all tours, a guide is assigned to explain the habitat and life cycle of the fireflies, as well as general information about the forest.

Firefly sightings occur every year between June and August in Nanacamilpa, Tlaxcala. This forest is the ideal home for these wonderful insects, as its ecosystem provides the perfect conditions for their reproduction and survival. It is important to remember that this natural phenomenon depends on climatic factors beyond our control. Although the experience may vary from night to night, we guarantee a nature-friendly and enriching tour for all our visitors.

Upon arrival, our team will give you a warm welcome and a brief explanation about fireflies, their life cycle, and the importance of preserving their habitat. Then, accompanied by an expert guide, you'll head into the forest in complete darkness so as not to interfere with the natural light display. With a little patience and respect, you'll soon begin to see the first flickering lights of these fascinating insects.

To enjoy it to the fullest, we recommend:

✅ Comfortable and warm clothing – nights in the forest can be chilly.

✅ Appropriate footwear – preferably boots or sneakers for walking on natural terrain.

✅ Raincoat – in case of rain.

✅ Avoid flashlights and other light devices – artificial light interferes with the fireflies' behavior.

✅ Absolute respect for nature – we follow strict rules to protect their habitat.

  • Children over 5 years old can participate.
  • Not recommended for elderly individuals due to the cold and the altitude of the location.

From 1 to 2 hours (depending on weather conditions).

Single schedule at 5:30 pm, every day.
